| Utmost care has been taken in the placement of all chalets on the property’s100m gentle gradient toward the Archipelago Bay and beach front, the majority have uninterrupted views of the tropical gardens and azure blue Indian Ocean. Where possible, existing flora has been assimilated into patios and indigenous bush has been preserved to retain the privacy of all the chalets. Construction of the chalets is of indigenous hardwood simbiri pole and thatch; plaster walls with wooden frame windows and doors; and combinations of highly polished hardwood and cemcrete floors. Frameless glass shower booths with oversized shower head and interesting vanity features, incorporating traditional beer barrel bases with striking hardwood counter tops, have been included into the design of the interior. All chalets have private WC facilities. Large glass doors and windows allow an abundance of natural light into the rooms and offer varied views from each chalet. A well-placed desk and counter top serves a practical purpose whilst adding a local element of high-gloss mahogany wood and traditional beer barrel to the room. All chalets echo the tranquil colours of the beach and are superbly comfortable and well-appointed with crisp white linen, duvets and cosy woollen throws and are practical in their own exclusive elegance.
